The CS82 Intrinsically Safe Submersible Pressure Transducer is an industrial quality pressure sensor for liquid level measurements in intrinsically safe locations. A high strength Nylon strain relief and precision welds prevent liquids from ingressing the transducer. To ensure accurate level measurements, it’s also equipped with a wide diameter vent tube to quickly equalize the barometric pressure within the sensor body. Additionally, this submersible pressure sensor, from Core Sensors, features stainless steel (316L and 304) construction and an ETFE cable jacket for compatibility with a wide variety of liquids.

Description

The CS82 Intrinsically Safe Submersible Pressure Transducer is a high strength sensor for liquid level measurements in intrinsically safe locations. This submersible pressure sensor features stainless steel (316L and 304) construction and an ETFE cable jacket for compatibility with a wide variety of liquids. Precision welds and a high strength Nylon strain relief prevent liquids from entering the transducer. And a wide diameter vent tube quickly equalizes the barometric pressure within the sensor body to ensure accurate level measurements.

The CS82, from Core Sensors, is available in various output signals including 4-20 mA loop power for long distance transmissions and voltage outputs for low power and low current consumption applications. Caution must be taken when installing and operating hazardous area instrumentation. Please review the Intrinsically Safe Operating Instructions prior to installation.

This transducer features a high strength 300 series stainless steel (304 & 316L) metallic construction, corrosion resistant ETFE cable jacket, and a Nylon strain relief for compatibility in a wide range of liquids.

  1. While a nose cone comes standard on the CS82 Intrinsically Safe Submersible Pressure Transducer. Configurations are available with 1/4″ or 1/2″ Male NPT for threaded installation in flood prone areas.
  2. Low power configurations are available when utilizing the CS82 in remote locations or where supply voltage is limited. Ask us for more information!
  3. Standard and custom cable lengths are available to simplify installation.

 

Highly Configurable IS Submersible Pressure Sensor

The CS82 features a configurable design, allowing us to tailor the pressure transducer to your applications operating requirements. Do you have a limited voltage supply at your installation? No problem! The CS82 is available in a low power configuration, so it’s capable of operating from an unregulated power supply of 3-5 VDC while consuming 3 mA or less of current. Need an extra long cable length? No problem! We offer both standard and custom cable lengths to ensure you have enough cable to simplify your installation

In addition, the CS82 Intrinsically Safe Submersible Pressure Transducer is great for non-submersible applications. The standard nose cone can be substituted for 1/4″ or 1/2″ Male NPT threads for threaded installation. This is a common practice where flooding is a concern.
