The OPTISONIC 6300 P is a portable, battery powered ultrasonic clamp-on flowmeter for temporary flow measurement of liquids in municipal water flows and the wastewater industry.
The OPTISONIC 6300 P is a battery-powered ultrasonic, portable clamp on flow meter for temporary flow measurement of liquids in municipal water and wastewater applications. This model is a portable alternative to the OPTISONIC 6300. It’s of use in virtually any location without interrupting the process or cutting pipes. Due to its flexibility, this flowmeter is equally suitable for comparative measurements on stationary measuring equipment (for example, pumps, flowmeters, etc.). It’s also suitable for use as a short-term replacement of faulty devices. Furthermore, this clamp-on flow meter comes standard with a measurement option for thermal energy applications.
The OPTISONIC 6300 P combines robust, easy-to-mount clamp-on sensor rails with a battery-powered signal converter for 1 path as well as 2 path measurement. Its portable converter comes with full measurement functionality in addition to an integrated data logger. Operators can monitor and analyze all measurement data via a smart mobile device using the OPTISONIC 6300 P mobile app.
Each mounting rail consists of two exchangeable fixation units with a unique “click-and-turn” mechanism. The fixation units can easily be attached to the pipe by using straps. When the rail is installed, the “click-and-turn” mechanism allows access to the pipe/transducer contact surface at any time. For smaller pipe sizes up to DN250, metal straps are used. For large pipe sizes, specially designed nylon straps are available in lengths of 11.5 feet (3.5 meters) or 44.3 feet (13.5 meters) to attach the mounting rails up to pipe diameters of DN4000 (160 inches).
Optionally, to attach or detach the sensor rails onto the pipe wall, fixation units with magnets are available. This is only possible with pipe walls that have magnetic properties (for example, carbon steel).
The app is free and makes it easy to set up and commission this clamp-on flowmeter. A user-friendly installation wizard guides the user through the configuration process. A USB cable or secure wireless Bluetooth connection transfers data between the smart device and signal converter. All data saves onto the mobile device, which allows historical access at a later time.
