Description

The PR 9203A is a Solenoid / Alarm Driver with a SIL‑2 certification. This universal driver offers safe, reliable operation of solenoids, alarms, and LEDs in demanding industrial environments. This signal conditioning module, from PR electronics, can mount standalone or on the PR 9400 power rail. Furthermore, the 9203A provides one or two output channels with either Low (≈35 mA) or High (≈60 mA) current options. Thus, this allows the device to match the requirements of various load types.

Each channel can configure as direct or inverted output, and there is also a provision to reduce output current to suit sensitive components. Diagnostics are built in, including internal error detection, as well as both individual status relays and collective electronic reporting via the power rail. A detachable display front (PR 4500 series) provides local monitoring and configuration.

Ideal for use in hazardous and industrial zones: Zone 2, Class 1 Division 2, Groups A‑D. The 9203A is suitable for controlling ON/OFF solenoids, acoustic alarms, visual LED indicators, or similar devices. It accepts NPN / PNP or switch‑type inputs, offering flexibility in interface design. Its robust isolation (for example, 2.6 kVAC between input/output/supply) ensures safety and resilience in harsh conditions.
