The PR 5437 transmitter can take millivolt inputs directly. It can also take microamp or milliamp inputs by converting to a millivolt signal via the use of a precision resistor. The resistor value can be chosen to give the best results in terms of resolution and range.

The transmitter also has a wide range of industry standard temperature sensor inputs (thermocouple, RTD, etc.). The output is the industry standard 4-20ma signal.
