Description
The PR 3185 Loop Power Isolator offers efficient galvanic isolation and 1:1 signal conversion of standard current loop signals in a slim, space‑saving housing. Available as 1‑channel or 2‑channel units, it draws power directly from the loop, thus removing the need for external power supplies. The 3185, from PR electronics, features low input voltage drop (typical 1.35 V + Vout), excellent conversion accuracy (better than 0.1 % over 0-20.5 mA), fast response time (< 5 ms), and a strong signal‑to‑noise ratio (> 60 dB).
- 1 or 2 channel input loop power isolator
- Signal 1:1 functional range 0-23 mA
- Low input voltage drop as well as fast response time
- Excellent accuracy in addition to high load stability
- Slimline 6 mm housing
- DIN-rail mounting with up to 326 channels per meter
- Temperature operation range is from -13 to 158˚F (-25 to 70˚C)
PR 3185 Loop Power Isolator
The PR 3185 Loop Power Isolator supports floating, galvanically separated inputs and outputs. It also provides high isolation of 2.5 kVAC, and voltage‑limited outputs (max ~17.5 VDC). Thus, the 3185 ensures safety and integrity in challenging signal environments. With a compact design and narrow 6.1 mm housing, the PR 3185 Loop Power Isolator mounts densely on DIN-rails – up to 163 units per meter. Furthermore, it withstands high ambient temperatures: up to 158˚F (70˚C). The PR 3185 is certified for marine use as well as Safe Areas, Zone 2 / Div 2, ATEX, IECEx, UL, and more, thus making it suitable for harsh, regulated environments.
- 1:1 input loop-powered isolator of current signals in the range 0(4)-20 mA.
- The PR 3185 is an easy mounting DIN-rail unit.
- A very competitive choice in terms of both price as well as technology for galvanic isolation of current signals.
- Provides surge suppression and protects control systems from transients and noise.
- Eliminates ground loops and can also be used for measuring floating signals.
- This signal conditioning device can mount in Safe area or in Zone 2 and Cl. 1 Div 2. area.
