TIDALFLUX 2300, Magmeter for Partially Filled Pipes

TIDALFLUX 2300, Magmeter for Partially Filled Pipes

The TIDALFLUX 2300 is an electromagnetic flow meter, or magmeter, for applications with partially filled pipes in water and wastewater applications.

  • measurement in partially filled pipes up to DN1600 (64 inches)
  • patented, non-contact level measurement
  • measurement possible between 10 to 100% filling
  • broad diameter range up to DN1600 / 64″
  • high abrasion / chemical resistance
  • robust construction, completely welded

Description

The TIDALFLUX 2300 is an electromagnetic flow meter (EMF), or magmeter, with patented, capacitive level measurement for use in partially filled pipes (up to DN1600 / 64 inches). This magmeter is the ideal solution for flow measurement of municipal or industrial wastewater in pressureless transport lines. However, this magnetic flow meter is also suitable for measurement of effluent brine from seawater and well water injection applications. Unlike open channel systems (Venturi, V-notches etc.) these inline flow meters are a closed measuring solution without obstructions. In addition, these magmeters offer a much better accuracy at lower total costs of ownership.

  • integrated capacitive level measurement for flow measurement of water and wastewater (≥10% pipe fill level)
  • electrodes for flow measurement are below 10% filling level, therefore no blind folding by fat and oil floating on the water surface
  • 220/110 V or 24 VDC power supply
  • accurate (±1%) and cost-saving alternative to open channel systems
  • flange: DN200 to DN1600 / 8 to 64 inches
    • various flange standards like DIN, ANSI and JIS
    • polyurethane liner
  • 3 x 4-20 mA, pulse, HART, Modbus, as well as PROFINET

Features of the TIDALFLUX 2300 Magmeter for Partially Filled Pipes

The measuring tube of the TIDALFLUX 2300, from KROHNE, comes with a polyurethane (PUR) liner for abrasion and chemical resistance. Its smooth surface prevents build-up of fat and other deposits which minimizes the need for regular cleaning. For direct burial installation or applications in areas that can be partially flooded, this flow meter can also offer IP68 /NEMA 6P versions. Due to the presence of flammable hydrogen sulphide (H2S) in many wastewater applications, this magmeter also has ATEX / IECEx zone 1 approval. Furthermore, the TIDALFLUX 2300 comes with extensive diagnostics. In addition, the OPTICHECK service tool can carry out full on-site verification of these flow meters without process interruption.

  • bi-directional flow measurement over a wide dynamic range
  • closed measurement solution with patented integrated non-contact level measurement
  • for effluent and slurries in gravity pipelines / sewers
  • chemically and also abrasion resistant PUR liner
  • accuracy: ±1% of measured value (MV)
  • electrodes not in contact with floating deposits
  • optional version for direct burial installation and flooded areas (IP68)
  • standard factory calibration, no on-site calibration requirement
  • extensive flow meter and process diagnostics, which exceed the NE 107 requirement
  • also for use in hazardous areas zone 1: ATEX, IECx Zone 1, Class 1 Div 2
  • on-site verification of flow meter with OPTICHECK service tool

Common Applications of this Magmeter

  • water and wastewater applications in partially filled and gravity feed pipes
  • cost-effective replacement of expensive siphon tube constructions
  • surface water flow measurement
  • biological and also chemical wastewater
  • combined and separate sewage systems
  • combined sewer overflows (CSOs)
  • storm water overflows (SWOs)
  • rainwater retention basins
  • influent / intake as well as effluent at wastewater treatment plants
  • discharge to surface water
