Advantages over Alternative Technologies

Our hydrogen peroxide vapor systems can save you money without reducing efficacy. In fact, our vapor generation systems are currently being used to test the new generation of  spaces suits. These Low Temperature Sterilization Systems offer highly accurate, repeatable, and efficient hydrogen peroxide vapor generation as well as  analytical tracking / datalogging.

Compared to other portable hydrogen peroxide systems, our Low Temperature Sterilization Systems are easy to customize. Thus, they give you all the features you need to get the job done without over-designing. Our hydrogen peroxide vaporizing systems will save you tons of money and typically cost about half the price of many other options on the market.

Moreover, traditional bubbler systems are often not capable of handling sufficient quantities of liquid with a low vapor pressure, or they perform in an imperfect way. Furthermore, they cannot instantaneously provide vapor of a mixture of liquids with different vapor pressures.

Applications Benefitting from Affordable, Effective Low Temperature Sterilization

The low flow capabilities of our Low Temperature Sterilization System makes for an easy, all-in-one hydrogen peroxide vapor generation system. This system is an especially useful device for decontaminating laboratories, research facilities, doctor’s offices and clinics, hospitals, clean rooms, as well as for intricate manufacturing processes. Common applications include packaging sterilization in food and beverage manufacturing in addition to low temperature peroxide disinfection of medical devices, and more.

  • pharmaceutical production, anesthetics, as well as vaccine production and more
  • low temperature disinfection of equipment and confined spaces in clinics, doctor’s offices, hospitals, laboratory research facilities, high tech manufacturing, in addition to clean rooms, etc.
  • aseptic sterilization for food and beverage manufacturing, medication, bioreactive testing samples, live specimen containers, etc.

Table Top Model

Our Low Temperature Sterilization Systems are available in either table-top / desk-top models or as a rack-mounted unit. The table-top unit can control one vaporizer unit and allows users to easily move and store the Low Temperature Sterilization System when not in use. This set up is ideal for research laboratories, universities, and also other places where this decontamination system may not be in constant use and/or where space is limited.

Rack Mounted Low Temperature Sterilization System

The rack-mount system is ideal for manufacturing / production environments and also offers the same easy control as the table-top system. However, unlike the table-top unit, the rack-mount systems can control up to three independent vapor generation systems via three separate vaporizer units and supplemental flow controllers for gases and liquids. In addition to independent operation, our rack mount Low Temperature Sterilization System can control all three systems as part of a single system.

This setup is ideal for production lines for example, aseptic packaging of food and beverages, production lines for pharmaceuticals and vaccines, etc. Furthermore, this system can easily mount onto a rolling cart, making it easy for users to roll from room-to-room to decontaminate confined spaces and equipment at clinics, doctor’s offices, hospitals, etc.

Controlled Evaporation Technology

The gas serves as a mixing component and as a means of transport for the vapor and is therefore known as carrier gas. The mixing valve atomizes the liquid and also adds it to the carrier gas, creating an aerosol, which is heated by the CEM until it transforms into a vapor. To monitor the internal temperature of the heat exchanger, the CEM incorporates a PT100 temperature sensor. Additionally, an internal safety switch prevents overheating of the heat exchanger, by interrupting the control signal as soon as the temperature reaches 392˚F.

All-in-One Vapor Generation Device

To control the liquid and gas supply flows and the CEM temperature, the CEM Controller integrates the flow instrumentation with a user-friendly, color touchscreen interface that also serves as a power supply unit. In addition, the controller comes equipped with Modbus interface programmed for the CEM system. The CEM Controller also contains a temperature controller for heat tracing purposes. The CEM controller allows for data logging of instrument data and WebMI capabilities. WebMI empowers users to control everything onscreen from a computer, tablet, or other mobile devices.

CEM Controller for Vapor Generation

This vapor generation system is a modular setup, which is why our Low Temperature Sterilization Systems are so easy to customize, with the Controlled Evaporative Mixer (CEM) itself as the core component. A CEM is a mixer and vaporizer that uses heat to atomize a liquid, which is then mixed with a carrier gas. The carrier gas and liquid mixture is then heated and transformed into vapor phase, which can then be used for precise, low flow vapor control.

To feed the CEM with liquid and gas, the CEM is setup with a liquid flow meter with a control function and a gas flow controller. The liquid flow meter also uses the mixing valve of the CEM to control the liquid flow rate.

Gas Flow Controller

The choice of gas flow controller depends on the specific requirements of the application. The gas flow controller is used to supply carrier gas to the CEM for the vaporization of the desired liquid. Common choices include thermal mass flow meters such as the EL-FLOW Prestige or IN-FLOW for higher flow rates or Coriolis based flow meters such as the mini CORI-FLOW. Our engineers will work with you to help determine which Bronkhorst flow meter will work best for your process.

Liquid Flow Controller

The choice of liquid flow meter and controller is typically a mini CORI-FLOW since this instrument offers unmatched precision and functional capability. Additionally, the mini CORI-FLOW can handle a wide range of liquids of various viscosities and corrosive properties. This device is used to precisely supply the CEM with liquid for the vaporization process. However, other flow instrumentation may be chosen depending on the specific requirements of the user and application.

Controlled Evaporation Mixer (CEM)

The CEM is the heart of the controlled evaporation system. This device is equipped with an atomizer, which is used to vaporize the liquid, which is then mixed with the carrier gas in the mixing chamber.

Color Touchscreen Interface

As a standard, our Steam Generator Controller features a 7″ color touchscreen interface for an indication of measured values. Additionally, the controller offers user-friendly process control and includes high functionalities specifically for vapor generation processes. The touchscreen easily enables the user to change the setpoints as well as other functions. The controller also powers the devices and communicates via Modbus to control the CEM temperature and the instruments’ flow rates. In addition, the controller offers a temperature traced vapor outlet and the option for additional gas or liquid instruments.
