Description
Aqua2000-TCL is a reagent-free device that automatically and continuously measures total chlorine in real time. It features a long-life membrane-protected sensor with over two years of stable operation. The total chlorine analyzer is ideal for easy maintenance, intuitive operation, and does not generate any waste liquid after measurement. Compact and intuitive, it’s built for durability and simplicity, with a waterproof IP66 design and touchscreen display. Powered via AC100–240 V and also offering multiple output options, it integrates smoothly into systems. The Aqua2000-TCL is the perfect solution for continuous, low-maintenance chlorine monitoring in demanding environments.
- Equipped with a long-life, membrane-protected sensor, thus offering over two years of stable operation
- Designed for easy maintenance and intuitive operation with no waste liquid produced from measurements
- Provides a 4–20 mA output, with optional RS-232 and RS-485 communication, in addition to USB 2.0 download support
- Measures total chlorine within a range of 0–20 mg/L
- Includes water temperature sensing using PT1000 Ω measurement up to 70˚C, via a platinum-temperature sensor
- Utilizes the polarographic amperometric method for chlorine measurement, with a gold cathode and silver anode (anodized)
The Aqua2000-TCL, from Bluesen, accurately measures the total amount of chlorine contained in the sample in real time and continuously by applying the reagent-free amperometric method. It can be used for water treatment monitoring, control, and recording. There is no waste liquid generated after measurement, and the sensor protected by a membrane can be used for a long period of time, more than 2 years. Chlorine dioxide contained in the sample may affect the measurement.

Common Applications of Total Chlorine Analyzers
Total chlorine analyzers are essential in industries and utilities that require precise monitoring of water quality. They are in wide use in municipal drinking water treatment plants to ensure compliance with disinfection regulations, as well as in wastewater treatment facilities to verify proper chlorine residual before discharge. In industrial process water systems, water quality analyzers help maintain safe and efficient operations, for example: in power plants, cooling towers, and food processing plants. They are also vital in swimming pools, aquatic centers, and pharmaceutical water systems, where maintaining correct chlorine levels safeguards health. Continuous, real-time measurement ensures safety, regulatory compliance, as well as optimized chemical usage across diverse applications.
- Drinking water: tap water as well as use in rural areas
- Recreational water for example: swimming pool water, water parks, splash pads, etc.
- Industrial water: influent / effluent
- Reclaimed water
- Wastewater (WWTPs)
- Power plants
- Disinfection water
- Circulation water
