Description

The PR 5104A Repeater / Power Supply combines reliable signal isolation with a robust power supply for two‑wire transmitters. It comes in 1‑ or 2‑channel versions and provides 3.75 kVAC galvanic isolation between input, output, and also supply for maximum safety. The 5104A, from PR electronics, delivers loop supply greater than 17.1 V. In addition, it can be receive power via universal AC or DC (21.6‑253 VAC or 19.2‑300 VDC). This Repeater and Power Supply module includes 20 factory‑calibrated measurement ranges, selectable via internal DIP switches—no recalibration necessary in most cases.

PR 5104A Repeater and Power Supply

The PR 5104A supports analog current as well as voltage signals. Users can configure the output as an active transmitter, passive 2‑wire transmitter, in addition to voltage/current output. The response time is under 25 ms (0‑90%), thus ensuring responsive performance in control loops. Inputs, outputs, and supply are floating and fully isolated, preventing ground loops or interference. It mounts vertically or horizontally on a standard 35 mm DIN rail; the 2‑channel version allows up to 84 channels per meter when it mounts side‑by‑side.
