It will reduce the media temperature before making contact with our pressure transducers, from Core Sensors, allowing a wider flexibility of use. Standard 1/4″ NPT male and female connections allow for quick threaded installation. This makes temperature drops of 250˚F (121˚C) possible or potentially more by threading multiple cooling adaptors together.

It is important to consider both the ambient and media temperature conditions of an application when selecting a pressure transducer. These temperatures have a direct effect on the accuracy of the transducer. However, most of our pressure transducers are compensated over a specified pressure and temperature to help minimize the effects of temperature.
For applications where the temperature is outside of the transducers specified temperature range, we offer an all 316L SS cooling adapter. This adapter isolates the transducer by increasing the distance from the extreme media temperatures. The temperature of the media dissipates as it passes through the cooling adapter. This installation method is effective when dealing with extremely cold medias. The cooling adapter acts as a heat exchanger.

Because of this design, the cooling adaptor can quickly be added or removed without additional hardware or equipment.
