The IN-PRESS Series digital electronic pressure transducers and controllers for gases and liquids are equipped with a rugged, industrial style (IP65) pc-board housing for use in industrial environments. The instruments have a well-proven compact thru-flow design and include a diaphragm type piezo-resistive pressure sensor for pressure measurement and control from:
- lowest ranges 2-100 mbar absolute or 0.7-35 mbar gauge up to
- highest ranges 8-400 bar absolute or gauge

Integrated, Adaptable PID Control for Fast and Smooth Control
The pc-board of an IN-PRESS pressure meter features integrated, adaptable PID control for fast and smooth control of any electronically driven valve. With reference to the specific fields of application, there are different series of unique Bronkhorst proportional, electromagnetic control valves. There is a standard direct acting valve for common applications, a pilot operated valve for high flow rates, the so-called Vary-P valve that can cope with up to 400 bar ΔP and a bellows valve for applications with very low differential pressure.
The standard direct acting valve (F-001AI/F-011AI) is normally closed, has a pressure capability up to 100 bar and is available for Kv-values up to 6.6 x 10-6. Normally opened valves can also be supplied. Also, there is a pilot operated valve for high flow rates (Kv-max 6.0). The Vary-P valve can cope with 400 bar delta-P and a bellows valve for applications with very low differential pressure. Additionally, all these control valves are available with IP65 protected coils.
Multibus IN-FLOW Pressure Meter and Controller
The IN-PRESS Pressure Meter and Controller is equipped with a diaphragm type piezoresistive pressure sensor and a digital pc-board, as standard offering high accuracy, stability and reliability. Also, it’s equipped with a digital pc-board, offering high accuracy, excellent temperature stability and fast response. The main digital pc-board contains all of the general functions needed for measurement and control. In addition to the standard RS232 output the instruments also offer analog I/O.

Bronkhorst developed their digital instruments according to the flexible multibus concept, due to which the instruments can be equipped with on-board interface board with DeviceNet, PROFIBUS DP, PROFINET, Modbus, Modbus RTU, CANopen, EtherCAT, ASCII or TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP, POWERLINK, or FLOW-BUS protocol.
The pressure controller performs with high accuracy and repeatability and should be specified for:
- forward pressure control (control of downstream pressure “P2“)
- backward pressure control (control of the upstream pressure “P1“)
- process pressure control (P-800 series, a dual-valve design for pressure control inside closed compartments or systems)

The digital electronic Pressure Meters and Controllers of the IN-PRESS Series are of rugged design (IP65) for use in pilot plants and production plants. Also, the IN-PRESS is ideal for industrial environments or even Zone 2 hazardous areas, with optional ATEX Category 3 approval. The instruments have a well-proven compact thru-flow design and are available in pressure ranges from 2-100 mbar up to 8-400 bar, both in absolute and relative (gauge) pressure. The pressure controller performs with high accuracy and repeatability and should be specified for forward or backward pressure control.
