The OPTISONIC 6300, from KROHNE, is an ultrasonic clamp on flow meter for permanent mount installation in municipal water and wastewater applications. It is ideal for flow measurement of liquids at any location where inline measurement is not possible or desirable. Typically, this flowmeter consists of a stainless steel sensor rail with two integrated transducers. It’s also available for large pipe sizes as a sensor rail set of two rails with integrated transducers in each rail. Regardless, all versions come with a wall-mounted or field-mounted ultrasonic signal converter. Its robust clamp-on rail is highly flexible and easily attaches to virtually any pipe up to DN4000 (160″).
Common uses of clamp on flow meters include flow measurement of various municipal applications such as demineralized water flows as well as measurements in hygienic applications.
