The XL6 Prime sets the standard for functionality and performance. The XL Prime Series of HMI Automation Controllers offers performance upgrades and a highly secure, modern memory architecture. This is accomplished with a new Horner designed System on Module (SOM) – containing a faster CPU, onboard mass storage and 100% non-volatile memory. The only battery is a small coin cell – simply tasked with maintaining the clock.

If you are a new automation designer looking for an innovative, reliable control solution – the XL Prime Series offers a fully integrated product in hardware and software. If you are an existing XL Series user – your current application program will port straight through in less than 30 seconds. All units feature a built-in logic engine, operator interface, networking, and expandable I/O.
Horner App Enabled for Remote Access
The Horner App is the first automation app to give customers the ability to access all WebOCS enabled controllers with their iOS or Android phone or tablet.
Description
The XL Prime Series features all-in-one control and performs all machine functions in a unified hardware design: Logic Control, Operator Interface, I/O, and Networking. These HMI controllers are feature a modern memory architecture that relies a custom design SOM (System on Module), utilizing a powerful ARM microprocessor as well as 100% non-volatile memory for reliability. With high-performance logic engines, the XL6 Prime PLC controller offers fast scan times, thus solving user logic using Variable-based Advanced Ladder logic or the IEC 6-1131 language set.
Online Programming and Remote Control
Online programming is made available through WebMI, MQTT, and the Horner App, which also allows for remote control and enables users to make logic changes without stopping the controller. Communication is based on Ethernet IP, Modbus TCP, BACnet IP, FTP file transfer, in addition to email. Collected data can be logged for example, record machine and process variables, which can be saved to a microSD or USB Flash Drive.
Fast Processing and Response Time
The screen is a high-resolution color touchscreen that is capable of displaying detailed graphics and nearly instantaneous screen updates. Furthermore, the XL Prime Series PLC controller series includes an advanced high-speed counter with four built-in counters supporting frequencies over 500 kHz.
Advanced Features of XL6 Prime PLC Controller
Logic engine features 1MB of application memory with a 0.02mS/K logic scan and also supports an online programming mode for making logic changes on the fly without going thru stop mode.

- USB 2.0 On-the-Go port (mini-B 5pin) is available for programming

- two (2) RS-232 and one (1) RS-485 port support RTU / Modbus Commander / Responder (Master / Slave), ASCII In/Out, as well as PLC / Drive downloadable protocols
