SmartStix I/O is perfect for when just a few I/O points are needed and can be used remotely or to expand the I/O capacity of any CsCAN Horner OCS application. SmartStix I/O is compatible with all OCS/RCS units that feature a CsCAN port. SmartStix I/O includes a 5-pin terminal style network connector (plug). All units come with a removable terminal strip unless otherwise noted. A variety of CsCAN wiring accessories, including bulk cable, alternate plugs, and adapters are available. Horner Automation is excited to announce the release of an upgrade I/O Series, the OCS-I/O.

Description
SmartStix expands the input / output capacity of any Horner OCS utilizing the CsCAN network port available with every model. SmartStix I/O for HMI offers fast response times without sacrificing robustness, with no need for a costly I/O interface unit. In addition to its peer-to-peer capabilities, CsCAN is used as a highly efficient method of distributing SmartStix I/O up to 6000 feet away. Horner Automation is excited to announce the release of an upgrade I/O Series, the OCS-I/O.

Small Footprint, Powerful Expandability with I/O for HMI
SmartStix I/O for HMI controllers are extremely compact expandable I/O modules, providing 16 and 32 point digital input / output in a package only 1.5″ (39mm) deep and a footprint of 2″H x 4.5”W or 2″H x 7″W. Furthermore, with its small footprint, SmartStix I/O for HMI takes up very little panel space whether located in the main control panel or tucked away in a remote location. SmartStix I/O has a barrier style terminal strip and can be mounted on a DIN-rail.
Easy to Set Up – Easy to Configure
Time and complexity to configure most remote I/O systems is a drawback SmartStix I/O for HMI greatly reduces setup time. Just assign a unique ID to the I/O module using the integrated rotary switches, connect a 5-wire shielded cable, and also configure the CsCAN I/O scanner in your Cscape control program.
