PR 5714 Programmable Indicator, LED

PR 5714 Programmable Indicator, LED

The PR 5714 Programmable LED Indicator is a digital display readout for current, voltage, resistance, temperature, or potentiometer signals.

  • 4-digit 14-segment LED display
  • input for mA, V, Ohm, RTD, TC and potentiometer
  • 2 relays and analog output
  • universal supply
  • front key programmable

Description

  • display for digital readout of current, voltage, resistance, temperature, or potentiometer signals
  • process control with 2 potential-free relays and/or analog output
  • for local readout in extremely wet atmospheres with a specially designed splash-proof cover

Technical Characteristics of the PR 5714 Programmable Indicator

  • 4-digit LED indicator with 13.8 mm 14-segment characters.
    • maximum display readout: -1,999 to 9,999
    • programmable decimal point
    • relay on / off indication
  • all standard operational parameters can be adjusted to any application by way of the front function keys
  • user can select help texts in eight languages via a menu item
  • available fully-configured according to specifications ready for process control and visualization
  • 2.3 kVAC galvanic isolation between input, output and supply
  • in versions with relay outputs, the user can minimize the installation test time by activating or deactivating each relay independently of the input signal

Mounting and Installation

  • for panel front mounting
  • the included rubber packing must be mounted between the panel cutout hole and the display front to obtain a protection degree of IP65 (type 4X)
  • for extra protection in extreme environments, an accessory PR 8335 splash-proof cover is available specifically for the PR 5714

Function Keys for the 5714 Programmable Indicator

When configuring the 5714 Programmable Indicator, users can choose the settings which fit the application. For each menu, there is a scrolling help text which automatically shows in the display. This starts after 5 seconds if the user does not activate a key. Configuration uses the following 3 function keys:

  • 1 will increase the numerical value or choose the next parameter
  • 2 will decrease the numerical value or choose the previous parameter
  • 3 will accept the chosen value and end the menu

If a function does not exist in the display, all parameters will skip to make the configuration as simple as possible. Once user enters the configuration, the display will show “—“. Pressing and holding “3” will return to the previous menu or return to the default state (1.0) without saving the new values or parameters. If the user doesn’t activate a key for 2 minutes, the display will return to the default state (1.0) without saving the new values or parameters.
