Installing industrial pressure transducers in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations can be a frustrating experience due to the limited electrical connection options available. For Class I, Division 2 Non-Incendive installations, pressure transducers are commonly offered with a conduit connection and integral cable. While this is a proven installation method, connecting and routing conduit piping over the instrument cable can be cumbersome. This is especially true when working with long lengths of cable or when a pressure transducer needs to be removed for calibration or exchanged for another transducer.

We are able to provide all of the above components, delivering a complete installation package! Assembling these three components can be completed in 2 easy steps:

Step 1: Attach the Turck Minifast cordset to the integral Minifast connector on the pressure transducer via the threaded coupling nut. Hand tight is sufficient.

Step 2: Install the Lokfast guard over the threaded connection between the pressure transducer and cordset. While doing so, ensure the arrow on the Lokfast guard is pointing TOWARDS the pressure transducer. Close until you hear a click. Once you’ve done this, assembly is then complete.
