The X2 is the second product of the streamlined Micro OCS Series of embedded I/O controllers. All units feature a built-in logic engine, operator interface, networking, and I/O.

In the market of fixed I/O, stand-alone controllers, the X2 Micro OCS Series is unmatched. Suited for most applications across a diverse range of industries, the X2 exceeds standards and expectations. The intuitive user interface, rugged durability, and suite of capabilities within the X2 are similar to our new, larger XL Prime line of products.
With fully integrated hardware and software, the X2 Micro OCS Series embedded I/O controller offers easy programming, installation, development, and also easy set-up. These controllers have a small footprint and can easily retrofit into an existing system with little effort. None of our Micro OCS products, from Horner Automation, have limits to their on-board I/O. Furthermore, many variations of remote I/O, such as the new OCS-I/O can connect via CsCAN, Ethernet, or Modbus. RTU/Modbus based SmartMod I/O is also a cost-effective means of adding a small amount of analog I/O.

The small, sleek profile of the X2 enables users to fit more in a panel, saving space as well as resources. For an introductory product, the X2 packs a big picture into an overall small package. For example, with just a 4.6 x 3.5″ cutout, the overall design of the X2 is powerful, reliable, and durable.
In an effort to make implementing Horner OCS controllers as seamless and user-friendly as possible, we have selected a streamlined set of on-board I/O. The wide scope of digital and analog I/O make automating your applications, and also your organization, as simple as the push of a button. Moreover, if the built-in I/O of the X2 isn’t enough for your specific application, you can easily expand via CAN or serial.
With the addition of the X2 Micro OCS controller, our engineers at Horner Automation have designed a slim, versatile, as well as complimentary product to our existing line of robust industrial solutions. The X2, when utilized as an introductory piece, empowers your organization to grow by seamlessly incorporating additional Horner solutions (such as our more advanced, new XL4 Prime or our new, premium X5 OCS controllers) to your expanding system.
