Cscape is a free PLC software from Horner Automation that combines graphical ladder diagram programming with operator interface development to completely integrate the control package. It is a straightforward approach to programming that combines logic with messaging in addition to networking. Cscape Programmable Logic Controller Software is absolutely free to download for use on Horner HMI automation controllers and also supports remote access through WebMI. Cscape features a powerful, free form drag and drop ladder editor. Screens can be called up from ladder logic or operate independently and user can access a single set of I/O references with no duplication of effort. Cscape offers nearly 100 functions to choose from, including conversion, string handling, and advanced math, flow control, and more. It’s designed to simplify development of your Operator Interface screens while you develop your control logic.
Configure all your I/O (input/output) from Cscape manually or automatically – with over 60 I/O modules available. Built-in expansion and remote I/O are all handled in a straightforward manner. Features include: Relay Ladder Logic, Floating Point Math, Motion Commands, Serial Read and Write Functions, Auto Tune PID, Modem and Networking Functions, and more.
Cscape 10 is a major new release that offers a variety of significant enhancements to the User Interface, Logic and Screen development. These advancements apply to any OCS user utilizing any current Horner OCS platform. In addition, Cscape 10 contains a large number exclusive features for the new Canvas line of All-in-one Controllers. This is especially true as it relates to the Canvas Advanced Graphics engine. Here, a number of screen development tools and graphics objects have been reimagined from the ground up. Canvas users, must use Cscape 10.
We invite non-Canvas OCS users to transition to Cscape 10 on their desired schedule – proceeding as is customary with any major software release prior to its deployment in the field. For some time, both versions (Cscape 9.9 and Cscape 10) will be available as current releases on the Horner Automation web site. This will allow customers the flexibility to utilize the version that best meets their needs during this transition period.
