These HMI controllers are designed with a modern memory architecture based on a custom designed SOM (System on Module) utilizing a powerful ARM microprocessor and 100% non-volatile memory for reliability. With high-performance logic engines, these automation controllers offer fast scan times, solving user logic using Variable-based Advanced Ladder logic or the IEC 6-1131 language set. HE-Logic engine features 1MB of application memory with a 0.02mS/K logic scan. Online Programming Mode (making logic changes on the fly without going thru stop mode) is supported.
Online programming is made available through WebMI, MQTT, and the Horner App, which also allows for remote control, and enables users to make logic changes without stopping the controller. Communication is based on Ethernet IP, Modbus TCP, BACnet IP, FTP file transfer, or email. Collected data can be logged including record machine and process variables, which can be saved to a microSD or USB Flash Drive.
The screen is a high-resolution color touchscreen that is capable of displaying detailed graphics and nearly instantaneous screen updates. The XL Prime Series of automation controllers also includes an advanced high-speed counter with four built-in counters supporting frequencies over 500 kHz.
