This tank level and flow monitoring system provides both remote notification and viewing access with up to 4 separate tanks and one flow input per system. With highly configurable alarming capabilities, this system is perfect for remote monitoring by providing remote access with a user-friendly interface. This tank monitoring system, from Horner, includes a cellular modem and is configurable to utilize multiple levels of alarm notifications via graphical display and e-mail. Additionally, this tank monitor allows remote viewing access using WebMI. Users can program up to three emails addresses to receive alarm notifications. This occurs chronologically and users can define the wait time between notifications. This allows operators time to acknowledge the alarm before the system alerts the next operator.
The program has two main screens: the tank level screen and the flow information screen. The home screen leads to both of those in addition to generic configurations. The tank level and flow screens have a specific configuration screen as well. Configuration screens are password protected to help keep data and processes secure.
The tank level screen shows the level of up to 4 tanks. The level of each tank is shown by a colored bar in the middle of each tank, as well as by a percentage value below each tank. From the tank configuration screen, users can configure how many tanks to use, as well as two high and two low alarm values for each tank.
The “Tank Alarms” button on the right side of the screen is used to manage all the tank alarms except for intrusion. The purple “Tanks Config” button leads to the tank configuration screen. The “Home” button returns to the home screen and the “Flow” button leads to the flow information screen.
The flow information screen shows the current flow rate in gallons per second. Also, it shows the average flow rate (in gal/sec), which resets daily at midnight. Additionally, it shows the previous day’s average flow rate. The flow configuration screen allows users to configure the pulses according to the flow meter being used, as well as set alarm values for one high and two low flow alarms. The bottom center of the screen displays the total flow that went through the flow meter since it was last reset, in gallons. This value is updated daily at midnight. The “Flow Alarms” button, at the top right, is used to manage all the flow alarms except for intrusion.
The Horner App gives operators the ability to access this tank level and flow monitoring system using a smartphone or tablet. The Horner App can be downloaded using the buttons below:
