DK37 M8, Rota Flow Meter (VA Meter)

DK37 M8, Rota Flow Meter (VA Meter)

The DK37 M8 is a variable area flow meter (VA flow meter) or rotameter used in advanced low liquid and gas flow applications in the municipal water and wastewater treatment industries. Because of their robust, solid metal design, these flow meters, from KROHNE, are particularly well suited for difficult operating and environmental conditions. The extremely compact design and the elimination of inlet and outlet sections allows for simple and cost-effective integration into measuring systems.

  • 1 or 2 limit switches, NAMUR, SIL 2-compliant
  • 1 limit switch, REED
  • 4-20 mA current output and HART communication
  • local measurement, setting, and monitoring of very low flow rates
  • higher measurement accuracy compared to DK32 and DK34 rotameters
  • compact design, no inlet and outlet sections
  • thread: G¼, ¼ NPT; others
  • -40 to 302˚F (-40 to 150˚C); maximum 220 barg (3190 psig)

Description

The DK37 M8 is a variable area flow meter (VA meter) with electrical signal output and bargraph indication or mechanical indicator with two optional limit switches. Also known as a rotameter or rota flow meter, this versatile, all-metal flow measurement device is suitable for low flow measurement of gases or liquids in municipal water and wastewater applications. Due to its sturdy yet compact design, this VA meter can be used at temperatures up to 392˚F (200˚C) or pressures up to 220 barg (3190 psig). Furthermore, the DK37 rota flow meter, from KROHNE, features a needle valve to accurately set the flow value.

  • vertical or horizontal process connections for NPT or G thread, flange adapters, and more
  • narrow design enabling a high packing density
  • easy installation and commissioning
  • high resistance to pressure as well as temperature
  • mechanical or with electronic indicator (4-20 mA / HART)
  • sturdy metal design: stainless steel or alloy

The DK37 M8 comes with vertical or horizontal process connections for NPT or G thread, flange adapters, as well as many other connection options. To provide constant flow rates in case of variable inlet or outlet pressures, this rota flow meter is also available with flow regulators. Moreover, it offers approvals for hazardous areas and is suitable for use in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIL).
