The DK34 is a variable area flow meter, or rotameter, used for measuring liquid and gas low flows. Because of its robust design, this solid metal flow meter is particularly suited for difficult operating and environmental conditions. With an extremely compact design and the elimination of inlet and outlet sections, the DK34 allows for simple and cost-effective integration into measuring systems.
The DK34 is a variable area flow meter (VA meter), also known as a rotameter or purge meter, is ideal for measuring low flow rates of liquids and gases. This durable flow meter is particularly suitable for flow monitoring and dosing chemicals in the municipal water and wastewater industry. Due to its robust all-metal design, the DK34, from KROHNE, is also ideal for difficult process conditions with temperatures up to 392˚F (200˚C) or pressures up to 400 barg (5800 psig). Furthermore, it is available with a metering valve as standard to accurately set the flow value.
The DK34 rotameter can operate without auxiliary power supply. Furthermore, it features a local indication with optional minimum/maximum limit switches (NAMUR), a reed contact, or analog output (4-20 mA or HART). To provide constant flow rates, in case of variable inlet or outlet pressures, this VA meter is also available with flow regulators. This rotameter comes with horizontal or vertical process connections for NPT or G thread, flange adapters, as well as many other connection options. The DK34 variable area meter has various approvals for hazardous areas and is suitable for use in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIL applications).
