The Gas Cylinder Monitoring System (GCM) is an innovative solution designed to enhance the safety, efficiency, and compliance of gas storage and usage across various industries. Our GCMs allow users to seamlessly view and track important gas cylinder data such as gas type, blend, composition, expiration dates, lot numbers, etc., in additon to optional real time pressure monitoring to know the exact supply on hand – all of which is accessible for viewing on the web or app via a cloud server.
The Gas Cylinder Monitoring System (GCM), from Process Solutions Corp., is a simple yet sophisticated solution for monitoring and tracking gas assets. With cloud server integration, our GCMs can provide QR coding and read back for advanced documentation and gas cylinder tracking, real-time monitoring of the available gas supply in gas cylinders, alarms for low level alerts, and more.
Implementing a GCM system streamlines gas data management and can eliminate the need for operator rounds to manually check gas supply. In doing so, our Gas Cylinder Monitoring Systems can improve compliance and safety while helping prevent critical process disruption and costly emergency gas deliveries – all at a fraction of the cost of traditional gas cylinder monitoring solutions.

Our GCMs provide advanced gas asset tracking with optional real-time monitoring of gas cylinder pressure/level through an intuitive graphical interface. With the capability to monitor one or more gas bottles simultaneously, it offers comprehensive visibility and control, further ensuring optimal management of gas assets. It can be equipped with QR code technology, allowing each bottle to be scanned to retrieve and record detailed information, which is automatically uploaded to a cloud-based server for easy access and analysis. The GCM simplifies operations, reduces risks associated with manual data entry, and improves the overall management of gas inventories, making it an essential tool for businesses aiming to streamline their gas handling processes.
With Ethernet connectivity, our GCM systems can easily integrate via Modbus TCP with an existing DCS, PLC, or other control systems that use EtherNet/IP, PROFIBUS/PROFINET, or numerous other Ethernet protocols. Furthermore, our Gas Cylinder Monitoring System can integrate to building automation systems (such as BACnet, LonWorks, etc.).
Ethernet connectivity also enables access to critical information through a cloud-based, password protected portal. As a result, users can have 24/7, real-time view of gas bottle tacking information, fill status, current alarms, and more. To streamline record keeping processes, our GCMs can also store historical data and automatically upload information to a cloud service. Our cloud service options include Microsoft Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or even on your own server.

Our Gas Cylinder Monitoring System can include QR coding capabilities, which allows users to scan a QR code on the gas bottles. This enables operators to easily access critical technical information about each bottle such as gas or blend type, concentration, composition, fill dates, expiration dates, lot numbers, serial numbers, and other manufacturer information. As a result, users can know exactly what type(s) and how much gas is on-hand anywhere that web access is available.
The Gas Cylinder Monitor can be equipped with real-time pressure/level monitoring capabilities via rugged, industrial quality pressure sensors. Its color touchscreen graphical interface visually displays pressure/supply of gas cylinders, whether a single, critical gas cylinder or a warehouse full of them. The graphical interface also provides low level alarms that will notify operators when supply is running low and needs reordering.
In our Gas Cylinder Monitoring System, industrial pressure sensors constantly monitor the supply in gas cylinders. As gas depletes, the pressure/level thus the supply, decreases. Once hitting a user-defined low level alarm setpoint, the user interface will alert operators via text, email, or optional LED light that a gas bottle is running low. This allows operators, in effect, to know exactly when a gas bottle needs replacement. As a result, a GCM system helps users prevent critical process disruptions and avoid costly emergency gas deliveries.
The pressure sensors can install directly on the graphical interface of the GCM system, directly on the gas cylinder itself, or anywhere along the stainless steel tubing in between. Furthermore, our Gas Cylinder Monitoring systems feature a sturdy design that can install both indoors or outdoors.
We’ve packed huge, optional feature into a relatively simple system. This allows users to customize an affordable gas cylinder tracking and/or pressure monitoring package that integrates seamlessly for use in refineries, gas processing facilities, analyzer buildings, gas chromatography users, hospitals, research facilities and universities, manufacturing facilities, and by other users of industrial gases.
Our gas cylinder monitoring system is both flexible and expandable. From a simple GCM that monitors a single critical gas cylinder to an advanced GCM system that monitors a whole network of gas assets, we can integrate a Gas Cylinder Monitoring System that fits your exact requirements. To fit scaling requirements, our GCM interfaces can be panel mounted or we can even provide a tabletop graphical user interface.
In addition, we can program custom features or functions into our gas cylinder monitoring systems as specified by the user. Our electrical and programming engineers are happy to work directly with end-users to include any functions allowing a seamless and hassle-free experience. Whether a prebuilt GCM system or one that’s made custom-to-order, we assemble these Gas Cylinder Monitors in our in-house, ISO certified workshop.

While our standard model is well suited to fit the need of most gas bottle users, we also offer an Advanced Gas Bottle Monitoring System that expands the capabilities of the base model. The advanced model includes a QR code system that allows users to scan a QR code on the gas bottles. This enables operators to directly and easily access critical technical information about each bottle. Notably, this information includes the gas or blend type, concentration, composition, fill dates, expiration dates, lot numbers, serial numbers, and other manufacturer information. In fact, this allows users to know exactly what type and how much gas they have on-hand anywhere that web access is available.
The advanced model additionally offers timer based alarms. These alarms display new bottles in green, expired bottles in yellow, and empty bottles in red. Moreover, this feature helps users automatically maintain historical records of gas usage.
