Pressure Sensors For Hydrogen Measurement

Hydrogen gas presents difficulties when it comes to pressure sensors that needs to be considered when selecting the correct sensor configuration. Two of the most common sensor concerns in Hydrogen applications are hydrogen embrittlement and hydrogen permeation.

Non-Clogging Submersible Pressure Transducer For Wastewater Lift Stations

Wastewater lift stations, or pumping stations, are an integral part in the transportation and eventual treatment of wastewater and other used water. Wastewater is commonly transported through piping systems, using gravity to move the water from one location to another. Using gravity helps keep costs down during transportation. However, gravity cannot be used when the wastewater needs to be transported to a higher elevation. This is where lift stations come in. There are three main components of a lift station: Wet well – This is a single tank, located underground, where the wastewater is held until it is ready to

Compound Pressure Transducers

In a compound pressure transducer, the sensor is zero-referenced to atmospheric pressure. In other words, the transducer has been calibrated to provide the zero-pressure output value at full vacuum range of -14.7 PSI (or -1 bar). Typically this is offered for low and medium pressure range, gauge referenced transducers (vented or sealed). It is possible to use a compound pressure range on higher pressures but the tolerances of the transducer, such as full scale error, may exceed the vacuum range of -14.7 PSI. It is not recommended to use compound pressure ranges higher than 500 PSI in order to maintain

Bi-Directional Pressure Transducers For Vapor Recovery

Core Sensors offers a variety of high quality bi-directional pressure transducers for use in low pressure vapor recovery operations. Unlike a unidirectional pressure transducer that can measure pressures from zero to a defined positive pressure (i.e. 0 to 70mBar), bi-directional pressure transducers measure both positive and negative pressure (i.e. -70mBar to +70mBar). Bi-directional pressure transducers are commonly found in Vapor Recovery Units (VRU’s) which monitor and recover light hydrocarbon vapors that collect at the top of oil and gas storage tanks. The positive end of the pressure transducers measurement range is used to monitor the increase in vapor pressure at
