  • The Master-Touch™ MP Series flow meters are available for both inline and insertion style installations. Most inline flow meters are available with a number of mounting options including MNPT or butt weld ends and ANSI, DN or JIS flanges. Smaller sizes are available with compression fittings or clamp flanges. All inline style flowmeters for line sizes of 3/4” and larger include a pair of inlet flow conditioners. These conditioners help to improve problematic, uneven flow profiles by disrupting the gas flow and allowing it to assume a more uniform profile, without adding any significant pressure drop in most applications. Insertion style flow meters can be installed with compression fittings, ball valve assemblies or flanges welded to the probe support. Tube flow sections, electropolishing and a certified "O2 cleaning" service are just some of the other options available to meet almost any installation requirement.

  • In the MPNH Series we have combined all of the features of our Master-Touch™ thermal mass flow meter technology with a convenient ABS enclosure. These enclosures have a clear polycarbonate cover for viewing the rate and total display. The cover can be easily removed for all input/output connections and for access to the 4-button keypad which provides direct control and adjustment of the flowmeter.

Just like the Master-Touch™ MP Series, our MPNH Series flow monitors are available for both inline and insertion style installations. Most inline flow meters are available with a number of mounting options including MNPT or butt weld ends and ANSI, DN or JIS flanges. Smaller sizes are available with compression fittings or clamp flanges. All inline style flow meters for line sizes of 3/4” and larger include a pair of inlet flow conditioners. So you can have the accuracy and flexibility of the Master-Touch™ thermal mass flowmeter for virtually all non-hazardous applications.

The Master-Touch™ MPNH Series gas flow monitor is approved by CSA/CUS for use in general purpose (Ordinary) area locations.

Flow Averaging Tubes

  • The Master-Touch™ FAT™ probes utilize a flow averaging tube to give a stable flow signal in applications where the flow profile is less than ideal, such as downstream of a bend, valve, tee or obstruction. The flow averaging tube has a number of large diameter (0.125”) inlet ports along the length of the upstream impact surface. The impact pressure at each inlet port is averaged inside the tube to create the axial flow through the tube and across our flow sensor. The gas flow then passes back into the main flow stream through the gas return ports located near the flow sensing elements.

Anomalies in the actual flow profile or installations in non-circular ducts may require a C-Factor adjustment for the best accuracy. The velocity impact pressure follows a square root function. Therefore, the average velocity pressure in the FAT™ probe may vary slightly from the average of the velocities at each inlet port. The Master-Touch™ electronics easily accommodate the C-Factor adjustment.

The FAT technology is available in the same range of physical configurations as the other Eldridge Products' instruments. Inline style averaging tubes are available for pipe sizes 2" and greater with flanged ends; insertion style FAT probes can be as small as 2" or as large as necessary (90+" to date!). Integral and remote electronics with approvals for hazardous or non-hazardous locations allow the FATs to meet most installation requirements.

The Master-Touch™ MP Series Flow Averaging Tubes are approved by CSA/CUS, ATEX, IECEx and KOSHA for use in hazardous area locations.

For more info: EPI website

  • Each Series 9000MP Multipoint System includes at least one flow transmitter probe assembly and a Series 9600MP System Control Panel (SCP). The probe assembly is the heart of the multipoint system. The probe assembly consists of two or more flow sensors (maximum of 5 sensors per probe) mounted in a 1½" OD probe shaft. Each sensor is matched to its own microprocessor and is individually calibrated and linearized. The microprocessor for each sensor is mounted outside of the flow duct in an enclosure at the end of the probe shaft.
